- ➤ Area Relief Ministries celebrated 50 years of service in Jackson at an event held Saturday at West Jackson Baptist Church—attendees honored founder Mary Tyler and learned about the nonprofit's work helping locals with housing and emergency care. Executive Director Fred McKinnie said the celebration recognized past efforts and set the stage for recruiting more churches and volunteers to serve those in need. WYN 106.9

- ➤ Hub City Theatre Company will perform Comedy of Errors in Rotary Park from March 28th through April 6th (featuring an Appalachian twist on Shakespeare with local actors and donation-based tickets with a suggested $10 donation) for outdoor family entertainment. - ➤ After defeating Ohio State 82-67 on March 23, the Lady Vols advanced to the Sweet 16 and will play on March 29 at Legacy Arena in Birmingham — a game fans can easily reach by car from Tennessee.
