  • Dollar General has expanded its same-day delivery service to more than 17,000 stores, including many in Tennessee. Customers with a myDG account can receive free delivery on one order until Feb. 28 (via DoorDash and UberEats).  The Jackson Sun

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Madison County officials are working today to clear icy county roads after a winter storm left hazardous conditions on Harts Bridge Road, Riverside Drive, and Old Medina Road (an incoming artic blast may delay their efforts) as residents face ongoing frustrations.  WBBJ-TV

HEALTH NEWS

  • Jackson-Madison County General Hospital maintained 24/7 operations amid dangerous winter road conditions from a weekend storm by offering sleep rooms for essential staff. Ground crews worked to salt and plow roads to help keep patients and visitors safe.  WBBJ-TV
  • Lifeline Blood Services urges local donors to help ease a critical blood shortage after winter storms forced the cancellation of 14 blood drives and reduced donation center hours; fixed centers in Jackson, Dyersburg, and Paris are open today (no appointment needed) as mobile drives are suspended due to unsafe roads.  WNBJ 39
