- ➤ The Jackson Symphony will perform a symphonic Queen tribute at the Carl Perkins Civic Center on Saturday, April 11, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event, produced by Jeans 'n Classics, will feature sweeping arrangements of Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You & Somebody to Love. WNBJ 39
- ➤ The Jackson Symphony will host its 25th annual Crystal Ball at the Carl Perkins Civic Center downtown as a night of old Hollywood glamour with a cocktail hour, gourmet dinner, live music by the 12th South Band, and a curated auction. WBBJ-TV

- ➤ Madison County Health reopened selected Solid Waste Convenience Centers yesterday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Pipkin Road at Overpass View, 95 Passmore Lane, and 130 H. O. Forgy Drive—only household waste was accepted as safety measures kept surfaces near restricted bins closed. WBBJ-TV

- ➤ Today, the Tennessee Sports Writers Association & USA TODAY Network released the latest statewide high school girls basketball rankings. The rankings, based on votes from local publications, list teams from Division I and II, with Richland, York Institute & Bradley Central among the top contenders. The Jackson Sun
- ➤ TSWA/USA TODAY Network released the statewide boys high school basketball rankings today despite disruptions from Winter Storm Fern. Votes from sports publications (including several state news sources) set team standings across divisions and will update weekly throughout the season. The Jackson Sun
- ➤ Winter Storm Fern forced TSSAA to change high school basketball game schedules in the Jackson area — several games are postponed today and rescheduled for later in February due to severe weather. The Jackson Sun
