- ➤ The Carl Perkins Center for Child Abuse Exchange Club held its 32nd annual Blue Suede Dinner and Auction in Jackson. Award-winning band Sixwire performed 70s hits as the event raised funds to support local children & families. WYN 106.9
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Jackson's Jack and Jill of America chapter celebrated its Founder's Day and Mother's Day Tea Saturday afternoon. Attendees shared snacks, conversation, and tea while chapter president Robyn Winston-Hicks said the gathering felt like a long-awaited homecoming (the event had been postponed after a winter storm cancelled its original date). - ➤ The James Madison Chapter of the Tennessee Society Sons of the American Revolution met Sunday at VFW Post 6496 and unveiled plans for its Patriot's Chest exhibit, a mobile display of colonial artifacts & everyday items.
