- ➤ The Jackson Exchange Club honored Stan Harris as the local Man of the Year during its 80th annual banquet Tuesday night. The award ceremony recognized Harris even as the state legislature met in Nashville. The Jackson Post
- ➤ Tennessee State Parks are hosting Easter events featuring egg hunts on April 4 and buffets on April 5 at select parks (reservation deadlines March 30 and April 1 for some meals). Other spring events including wildflower hikes and nature rallies will follow at locations statewide. WBBJ-TV

- ➤ Hyatt Place Jackson opened today at 518 West Forest Avenue near the hospital. The hotel features a modern design with a second floor for families with sick children via the Ronald McDonald House Foundation + a new Vicari restaurant for convenient dining. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ A new Centennial Bank branch on Oil Well Road officially opened on Monday after a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local dignitaries including members of the Greater Jackson Chamber. The change from Farmers & Merchants Bank marks a milestone in 100 years of service. WNBJ 39
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On Tuesday afternoon, Jackson State Community College's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society hosted a free financial resource fair at the student center to offer job, financial, well-being, and educational support.
