Downtown Jackson is organizing a Clean-Up Day on April 12 from 10 a.m. to noon—volunteers will gather at Hub City Brewing on West Main Street.

Organizers need help picking up trash and enhancing the downtown district.

West Tennessee Legal Services is hosting a free expungement clinic on April 25 in Jackson to help eligible residents clear charges from their criminal records — the event is partnered with local legal groups for Madison County court charges — and residents must pre-register by April 14.

Jackson Parks & Rec seeks volunteers to start new garden landscaping at Cypress Grove Nature Park on Saturday, March 29.

The event runs from 9:00 a.m. until noon at 866 Airways Boulevard as volunteers plant bulbs & prune plants.

Lights Up! Theatre Co. announced that tickets are on sale for its spring show of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. on April 18 and 19—local youth will perform popular songs in a fun musical at Clayton Hall downtown.

The Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team will play Texas on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET in Birmingham in the NCAA tournament Sweet 16.

The team, after beating Ohio State in an upset win, is predicted to win 81-78 and move on to the Elite Eight for the first time since 2016.
