🎭 Culture
The Jazz Foundation of West Tennessee will present Tenor Madness on April 18 at The Ned—featuring The Art Edmaiston Quartet and The Gregory Tardy Quartet and set to begin at 7 p.m.—as part of its Jazz Appreciation Month celebration.
🌲 Environment
Our crew drove out on Sunday to find many roads underwater in south Jackson.
Perry Switch Road is closed — crews put up signs as waters near the South Fork of the Forked Deer River take time to recede.
In West Jackson the South Fork of the Forked Deer River is running high at the Westover Road bridge—rain from recent days swelled the water so that it now flows onto Westover Road and levels are expected to drop in several days.
Heavy rains have flooded portions of Sanders Bluff Road in Three Way and Middle Fork Bottoms Park in north Madison County—traffic remains disrupted after a section of the road caved in and flood waters may take some time to recede.
