- ➤ Sam's Club is set to raise its membership prices on May 1. Club membership will cost $60 a year and Plus membership $120 while a discounted $30 deal is available until April 23. The Jackson Sun
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ St. Nicholas Orthodox Christian Church in Jackson celebrated Holy Week with an Easter service beginning at 10:30 p.m. Saturday (with repeating Paschal Hymns) and followed by Sunday’s Vespers service and Agape Picnic. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ Saturday's concert featuring Terell Stafford—an acclaimed Grammy Award winner—took place at the Ned R. McWherter Cultural Arts Center in Jackson during Jazz Appreciation Month, and the Jazz Foundation plans at least four concerts this year to boost local jazz and blues. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ Concordia Lutheran Church hosted a free concert Sunday at noon featuring trumpeter Joey Moore and pianist Mitzi Mathenia performing popular favorites. Donations raised will support scholarships for Concordia Conservatory (the church’s music program) as Pastor Eric Rudsenske noted. WBBJ-TV
