- ➤ Cino has taken over as United Way’s new leader ahead of today's First Ladies Luncheon, marking a new chapter for the group. The announcement comes on Monday, April 20 as community members prepare to enjoy the annual Spring event. The Jackson Post
- ➤ Home Missionary Baptist Church held installation services this afternoon to honor new pastor-elect Reverend Anthony Bell and his wife Taneth Bell in Jackson. - ➤ Jackson Mayor Scott Conger and Madison County Mayor A.J. Massey hosted Build Day at the Farmers Market downtown today to build beds for local kids through Sleep In Heavenly Peace + attendees of all ages joined the effort. WBBJ-TV

- ➤ Marijuana remains illegal in Tennessee even as nearly half of U.S. states and neighboring Virginia and Missouri allow recreational use. The term (420) began in the 1970s with California students and now marks a weed holiday known across the country. The Jackson Sun
