  • The STAR Center hosted its 2nd Annual Once Upon a Tea Party today in Jackson where girls with disabilities and their caregivers enjoyed tea, snacks, princess meet-and-greets, live music, and a tiara-making station (all proceeds support STAR Center programs).  WBBJ-TV

  • The Blue Suede Rockabilly Weekend is happening today in Jackson as the city celebrates 70 years of the hit Blue Suede Shoes with live music, retro themed events and an on site camping area supported by local volunteers+ organizers say the event highlights the city's rich musical heritage.  WBBJ TV

  • Tennessee Vols players including Arion Carter and Mike Matthews are emerging as NFL draft prospects for 2027 — Carter returned from rehab after foot injuries and Matthews, ranked No. 8 as a receiver, aims to boost his stock this season.  The Jackson Sun
  • The Washington Commanders selected Tennessee's Joshua Josephs, a 6-foot-3, 242-pound edge rusher noted for his speed & wide wingspan, with the 147th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on April 25; he may shift to outside linebacker in future schemes.  The Jackson Sun
