- ➤ United Ways of Tennessee and United For ALICE released a report today that shows 44% of households in Tennessee cannot afford basic needs such as housing, food, child care, transportation, health care, and technology—14% are in poverty while 30% fall under the ALICE category. The report also found that a family of four needs a household survival budget of $74,796 and noted that inflation continues to push costs above wage growth. WYN 106.9
