- ➤ Students at Northside Church will present the youth musical (Encore) at Hope Hall May 29-31; showtimes will be 7 p.m. on May 29 and 30 and 3 p.m. on May 31 with free admission and a nursery for families. The Jackson Sun
- ➤ Dr. Delita Johnson discussed Arts Backstage 2026, which highlights local artists with a mural reveal, meet and greet, and live music. The event will take place on May 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center; tickets cost $30 including food and drinks. WBBJ TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Seven high schools from Jackson-Madison County Schools will hold their graduation ceremonies at Oman Arena in the coming week. City officials and school representatives are working together to keep the events secure. The Jackson Post
- ➤ Jackson TN Pride presented scholarships to seven graduates, awarding a total of $9,250 for academic achievements on Tuesday. Its fundraiser festival (Saturday, Sept. 26) will boost scholarship funds as more private donations come in. WBBJ-TV
