- ➤ Rhythm on the Rails returns Friday, May 23 at Discovery Park with music by Sonaria and Jacob Tolliver and gates opening at 5 p.m. for a free summer concert series that was delayed by weather last week. WBBJ TV

- ➤ Dr. Jennifer Miles will serve as the new Executive Director of UofM Lambuth starting June 1st+ she brings 30 years of higher education leadership experience and plans to work closely with faculty and staff to guide the campus' growth. WBBJ-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced it will suspend construction-related road closures on interstates and state routes from May 23 at noon until May 27 at 6 a.m. + More than 900,000 travelers are expected over the holiday weekend, so drivers are urged to plan alternate routes +. - ➤ TDOT says it will suspend all construction lane closures from noon on May 23 until 6 a.m on May 27 to allow more highway capacity for Memorial Day weekend. Motorists should still expect work zones with reduced speed limits—officials urge careful driving during this busy travel period. WYN 106.9
