- ➤ The Tennessee Department of Transportation announced it will suspend construction-related road closures on interstates and state routes from May 23 at noon until May 27 at 6 a.m. + More than 900,000 travelers are expected over the holiday weekend, so drivers are urged to plan alternate routes +. - ➤ TDOT says it will suspend all construction lane closures from noon on May 23 until 6 a.m on May 27 to allow more highway capacity for Memorial Day weekend. Motorists should still expect work zones with reduced speed limits—officials urge careful driving during this busy travel period. WYN 106.9
