The Ice House in downtown Jackson honors fallen soldiers on Memorial Day with a display featuring a reserved table, tipped chair & symbolic items that mark their sacrifice.

The exhibit is open through Memorial Day at 112 E. Baltimore Street.

Local middle school students from the Do the Write Thing essay contest were honored this morning at the Hilton Garden Inn in Jackson for writing about preventing violence; the top essayist will attend the national summit in Washington D.C. (July 11).
