The NAACP will host its 63rd Freedom Fund Banquet Sunday at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson with keynote speaker Michael Eric Dyson (an acclaimed author) and over 500 supporters expected at an event themed 'Boots on the Ground: The March Continues'.

Downtown Tavern hosted live music performances with giveaways and a photo booth on Saturday at 208 North Liberty Street (downtown Jackson) to kick off Summer 2026.
