- ➤ Jackson's Regional Inter-Faith Association received over 36,000 pounds of food donated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as part of a nationwide service marking the nation's 250th anniversary. - ➤ Carnegie Center for Arts and History in Jackson will host a free opening reception for the On Contentious Ground exhibit on Thursday, June 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit shows medium and large-format photographs by Powell that capture visitors engaging with Civil War sites — a fresh look at history.
