More than 100 children joined the Youth Fishing Rodeo at Muse Park Pond — 1380 North Parkway — on Saturday morning from 9 to 11 despite a light rain.
The event gave away prizes, goodie bags and trophies for the best catch in each age group.
🎓 Education
Swim 1922 hosted free swimming lessons at TR White Sportsplex for children aged 6 to 16 to teach swimming techniques, CPR, and hygiene protocols—designed to raise awareness and combat high drowning rates among minority children as reported by the CDC.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. created the program to improve water safety among kids.
