Madison County and Ford Motor Company are hosting a free 4th of July celebration at Jackson Regional Airport’s lawn on July 4 with live music, a Jackson Symphony Americana concert, and a 20-minute fireworks show (residents should bring their own food, drinks, and lawn chairs) to honor America’s 250th birthday.
VFW Post 1848 hosted its annual Cruising Jackson Car Show on Saturday at 3803 North Highland Avenue.

Haylen Ayers, a standout basketball and softball star at University School, impressed in USA Team trials and in Mexico while her father and coach Joel Ayers—who also teaches her history—helped build her game as she prepared for her senior year.
