Volunteers collected nonperishable snack items and cash donations at five grocery stores Saturday as yellow school buses served as drop-off points for RIFA’s annual food drive supporting its Snack Backpack program (a key initiative to help feed school children).
Harvest Church is planning a community event to bring neighbors together.
Organizers say the gathering will help build local bonds + details on the time and location will be shared soon.

FHU welcomed new and returning students on Saturday as they moved into campus using scheduled drive-thru check-ins.
The university provided dorm assignments and welcome home goodies while a campus and community fair ran from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Jackson’s Rockabillys Stadium hosted the 5th annual West Tennessee Celebrity Softball Tournament for the Dream Center—bringing together local celebrities and community supporters in a spirited display of teamwork.
The event celebrated local sportsmanship in a fun and engaging way.
