The 42nd Annual Circles of Hope Telethon took place Sunday at the Civic Center in Hub City as it raised funds for the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse—talented guests performed and callers donated to the cause.

WBBJ ABC 7 aired the event live and Facebook streamed it, following last year’s fundraising that supported free services for over 8,000 individuals.

On Saturday in Jackson, local icons including law enforcement — city officials, musicians, school officials and business owners played in the Dream Center’s 4th annual West TN Celebrity Softball Tournament to raise money for the center; admission was $10 and proceeds supported its work.
