The Jackson Arts Council held a sold-out gala called Dinner on the Hotel Lawn at Jackson Country Club on Saturday from 6:30 p.m.—10 p.m. Guests enjoyed a 20s-themed dinner with hors d’oeuvres, designer cocktails, live music, guest speakers and an art auction, and proceeds raised will support local arts programs with plans for an annual event.
A Jackson family is receiving recognition for their photography that supports Down Syndrome Awareness— their winning contest entry will soon be featured at Times Square by the National Down Syndrome Association.
