CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Austin Drummond’s bond was revoked Monday, Aug. 25 in Circuit Court—he faces charges of attempted murder and drug possession arising from bodies found on Carrington Road on July 29 and will next appear in court on Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. The Jackson Post

- ➤ Shiloh National Military Park will host a guided hike called A General’s Last March on Saturday, August 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.—participants must pre-register by calling the park visitor center. The park will also hold live Civil War cannon demonstrations at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. across from the visitor center with no reservations needed. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ Jackson’s Havners Frame Shop will open its gallery doors on September 4 for Noah Stewart’s photo exhibition Spirits Come From Water—its theme explores healing, identity, and cultural memory inspired by Ehime Ora’s book; the exhibition will remain open through October 2. WNBJ 39

- ➤ TSWA and USA Today Network released statewide high school football rankings after Week 1 ended on Aug. 23—10 teams joined the list and scores and records were shown in each division.
