- ➤ A fire at GSM Outdoors in Parsons on Aug. 30th forced evacuations and caused minor burns and heat exhaustion to firefighters treated at Henderson County Community Hospital while air tests showed no bad chemicals — officials say residents should stay away — as the building still smolders. - ➤ Tipsters reported that police chased a red car starting in Madison County and entering Gibson County—and a wreck possibly involving a police vehicle occurred in Gibson County, officials said. WYN 106.9

- ➤ The 35th Annual African Street Festival by SAACA is happening in Jackson this weekend and has offered music, storytelling, tribal drum lessons, art, vendor booths, and local group information.
