- ➤ LIFELINE Blood Services announced that Ms. Margaret 'Jane' Wall from Union City won the 2022 Ford Mustang Convertible — donated by Joe Mahan Ford — after nearly 7,500 donations were made during their 7th Annual Car Giveaway held from Memorial Day to Labor Day. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Tennessee Higher Education Commission is urging seniors to apply for the Tennessee Promise scholarship that will cover tuition and mandatory fees at community colleges, colleges of applied technology and eligible two-year programs—applications must be submitted by November 3. WNBJ 39
- ➤ Public and charter school students as young as 5 will be required by state law to receive annual gun safety training that teaches firearm parts such as the trigger, barrel (without using live ammunition) and covers four key safety rules.
