Fun Fly Days continue today behind the JEA water treatment plant on Deloach Road as remote controlled pilots perform tricks during a four-day event.

Jackson's 36th annual African Street Festival filled streets with live music, food, and art yesterday and will continue today and Monday — hosted by SACA, the three-day event celebrated heritage with family activities including drum classes, poetry, and free health screenings.

The Jackson Federation of Colored Women and Youth Clubs hosted its 14th annual Vivian Bell Scholarship Luncheon last Saturday at Lane College Kirkendoll Student Center to honor local students and boost community support.
Keynote speaker Dr. Katherine Y. Brown presented her book (Embrace Your No) on leadership and purpose.
