Residents gathered at the courthouse square in Jackson on Saturday evening for a candlelight vigil in memory of Charlie Kirk, co-founder and executive director of Turning Point USA who was fatally shot last week.
The suspect is in custody — Kirk is survived by his wife and two children.

Kathrine Handford will be the featured guest organist at the annual Carolyn Townsend McAfee Concert—set for Sept.
