  • Jackson launched the new Connect App that lets residents report issues and access city services, while neighborhood improvement voting is open until Oct. 6 at noon on the city's website.   • Toyota Tennessee hosted its 2025 Family Fun Day event Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its 301 James Lawrence Road facility — employees and families enjoyed games, rides, a car show, facility tours and a BBQ cook off with awards.  WBBJ-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Students from across the region competed in the 3rd Annual Toyota Tennessee Hub City Robo Rumble at Jackson State Community College on Saturday—48 teams tested their design, coding, and teamwork skills on a 12 by 12 Vex Robotics field. Winners will advance to the state championship at Austin Peay State University early next year.  WYN 106.9
