  • The Jackson Fire Department hosted Truck-or-Treat at 720 S. Highland Avenue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday as part of Fire Prevention week activities—families enjoyed costumes, candy and fire safety tips from local partners.  WBBJ-TV

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Jackson will enjoy pleasant weather this weekend as highs reach the low 80s Saturday and mid 80s Sunday—forecasts indicate a cold front will come close before high pressure pushes it north, keeping skies clear and temperatures warm into next week.  WYN 106.9

SPORTS NEWS

  • WBBJ recapped Week 8 high school football games from across the region, sharing scores and key highlights. The recap showed major plays and winning scores from local schools in this week’s competition.  WYN 106.9
  • Tennessee football recorded five sacks and forced four fumbles but allowed nearly 500 yards in a 34—31 win over Arkansas at Neyland Stadium on Oct. 11.
