- ➤ Several Jackson churches are teaming up to collect winter clothes and supplies for 300 homeless or displaced students in Madison County schools. The drive asks for items such as gloves, socks, scarves, underwear, hygiene products + money donations at local centers. WNBJ 39
- ➤ Good Tidings Market will be held on December 6 in downtown Jackson where local organizations and vendors will sell merchandise and children will enjoy a visit from Santa — registration for non-profits and community groups is free — offering a festive holiday afternoon for the community. WNBJ 39

- ➤ Ballet Arts will present The Nutcracker in Jackson from November 28 through November 30 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center—this classic show will feature Clara, her Nutcracker Prince, and Tchaikovsky's music for an enchanting holiday journey. - ➤ Jackson residents celebrated a new functional art installation at Anderson Park during a reveal event held at 4 p.m. yesterday. The piece was created by Looking Up Arts—selected by a Public Art Commission committee—to brighten an empty sidewalk space with help from Our Jackson Home and the City of Jackson. WYN 106.9
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Jackson State Community College has brought back its homecoming event after a ten-year absence, with faculty and students planning activities to welcome alumni and local residents back to campus.
