- ➤ The City of Jackson has invited residents to nominate their favorite decorated homes for its third Jingle Bell Jackson Holiday Decorating Contest, with nominations beginning November 24th. Winners of the People’s Choice and judge’s awards will receive yard signs and a $1,000 cash prize (provided by Voya Financial). WYN 106.9
- ➤ Keep Jackson Beautiful and Downtown Jackson are partnering in a city-wide cleanup that will be held at 101 East Main Street on November 22nd at 10 a.m.—residents are encouraged to join the effort. WNBJ 39

- ➤ University of Tennessee Extension’s survey shows that the cost of a typical Thanksgiving dinner is up 10.5%, rising from $116.26 last year to $128.50 this year. - ➤ Deer season will begin Saturday, November 22 and run until January 4 in Jackson as hunters may use guns, muzzleloaders, or archery and must follow bag limits of two antlered deer per day statewide—while hunters born on or after Jan. 1 must show proof of hunter education. WBBJ-TV
