- ➤ Phoenix Theatres apologized after Tuesday, Dec. 9 when a daycare group was asked to leave during a Zootopia 2 showing at Empire 8 and offered refunds and a rescheduled screening. City Mayor Conger is working with the daycare to ensure the kids enjoy the movie. WYN 106.9

- ➤ SK On announced Thursday it has agreed with Ford to dissolve their $11B battery venture in 2026 so that Ford takes full control of two Kentucky plants while SK On retains the Stanton facility known as BlueOval City—production there has faced delays until 2028. WYN 106.9

- ➤ Scotts Hill High School student Hunter Sims has been named a national finalist for the 98th National FFA Convention for his innovative fishing lures. He competes among eight winners — his business and communication skills set him apart. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ Thirty-three business professionals graduated from the Greater Jackson Chamber’s Leadership Jackson program at the Carl Grants Events Center at Union University on Thursday.
