- ➤ At Arlington Elementary, volunteers provided 630 students with new shoes and socks on Feb. 10 as part of the Heart and Sole program that has aided over 6,000 students since 2019. High school athlete Haylen Ayers, a New Balance ambassador, supported the effort & promoted good hygiene practices. The Jackson Sun
- ➤ Hillcrest Baptist Church hosts its Love One Another luncheon on Sunday at noon following service at the church's fellowship hall at 2838 Paul Coffman Drive in Jackson, where guests enjoy a BBQ lunch, sides, desserts, hymn singing and a devotional by Pastor Andrew Cross. WBBJ TV

- ➤ Jackson Symphony hosted a Valentine’s Day Soirée on Feb. 14 at Carl Perkins Civic Center where guests enjoyed Bridgerton-inspired music that mixed pop hits with classical pieces to raise funds for future concerts. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ A Jackson country artist has released new music after years of singing in church choirs + performing in local theater productions. She now writes and sings full time to share her country roots with local fans. The Jackson Post
- ➤ Elks Lodge #192 will host its first-ever 80's Prom Night this weekend with live music by Nashville band L-80's Nite, and tickets cost ($40). Guests may choose to dress in 80's prom attire, and both singles and couples can plan to attend. WBBJ-TV

- ➤ The TSU Alumni Association (Jackson Chapter) hosted its 10th annual Valentine’s Scholarship Dinner and Gala in Jackson to support local high school graduates entering TSU. Mrs. Roslyn Wilson, the association’s president, said the event celebrated ten years of community sponsorship. WBBJ-TV

- ➤ Voting is open until Thursday, Feb. 19 at 4 p.m. for the Jackson area high school Athlete of the Week contest covering Feb. 9–14 (nominees include Mahki Maben from Ripley, Jack Cupples from Riverside, JoJo Howard from Scotts Hill, Brayden Marshall from Union City, and Sam Keyl from USJ). - ➤ On Friday, Feb. 13, the Lady Lions celebrated Senior Night at Scotts Hill during their final regular season game. The team, led by promising young players, left fans with heartfelt memories & plenty of community pride. The Jackson Post
- ➤ Today, the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and USA TODAY Network released statewide high school boys basketball rankings showing Eagleville as top in Division I Class 1A with a (24-0) record based on votes from local publications; weekly updates will continue until the season ends.
