- ➤ At Leeper Lane Park in Jackson—dog owners raced in AKC All-Breed CAT and Fast CAT events that started at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The Jackson TN Dog Fanciers Association said it will host its next races the first weekend of September. WBBJ-TV
- ➤ Jackson is holding its first-ever talent show, Jackson’s Got Talent, where 20 local performers will try to win cash prizes up to $2,000 — the event is hosted by LOLO Pritchard, Mary Billingsley and the Exchange Club with the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and judged by Stan Perkins, Julie Cooke and Marlon King.
