- ➤ Jackson residents are warned not to release pet goldfish into natural waters as they breed in local ponds (such as the Lotus Pond at Ijams Nature Center) and harm native species. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency says releasing these fish violates state law (which upsets local ecosystems) so owners should find safer ways to rehome them. The Jackson Sun
