Miss Volunteer America contestants hosted a meet and greet at Hub City Brewing at 7 p.m. on Sunday where 51 contestants signed autographs and took selfies with guests—Rock N Dough Pizza served food during the event; the preliminary pageant will begin on Wednesday, June 18.

A Game of Their Own will be held on June 24 at Jackson's Rockabillys Stadium with first pitch at 7 p.m. Fans in 1940s dress will enjoy live shows and tributes that honor the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (inspired by A League of Their Own) and the pioneering women of World War II.

Lights Up! Theatre Company invites families in Jackson to see Frozen KIDS, a stage show based on Disney’s film that tells a story of sisterhood and courage with songs and lively acting.

The show runs this weekend with performances on Thursday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, June 21 at 2:00, 4:00, and 7:00 p.m. (featuring young performers in grades 4–5).

AAA reported that Tennessee gas prices averaged $2.70 per gallon, which is among the nation's lowest, while prices in Jackson averaged $2.74 per gallon—a four-cent drop from last month—offering local drivers some savings at the pump.
