- ➤ Yesterday, Care Connections 731 partnered with Hub City Hemp to hand out dignity bags filled with hygiene items, socks, and snacks to unhoused residents in downtown Jackson and provided free opioid overdose reversal training with Narcan kits. The nonprofit will host another giveaway on July 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. WYN 106.9
- ➤ Youth Villages is seeking foster parents for children in West Tennessee—families can join free virtual info sessions on July 1 at 6 p.m. CT, July 12 at 10 a.m. CT, July 17 at 6 p.m. CT, and July 26 at 10 a.m. CT—to learn about training, support, and financial assistance for foster care. - ➤ On June 25th, Kroger invested $5 million to renovate two Jackson stores with expanded meat and bakery departments, brighter lighting, and a new drive-thru pharmacy at one location while honoring long-time employees.
