Jackson residents will attend the Bowls for the Hungry fundraiser on July 19 at the Jackson Fairgrounds — the event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and features a catered dinner, live music, and an auction of handmade ceramic bowls to raise funds for local shelters and food programs.

On July 10th at 3:06 a.m., Jackson police responded when a man suffered a gunshot wound near the Tap Bar + Grill at 719 Old Hickory Boulevard and was treated at a local hospital before being released as investigators search for the suspect.
